Press Release Body: Thousands of trip injuries occur across the U.K every day. Trips can happen in any place, including on the street, in the workplace or whilst shopping. Some of the most common causes of trip injury include uneven paving and road surfaces and wet flooring. Many claims are the result of poor maintenance and health and safety practices.

Local authorities have a responsibility to ensure that your local pavements and roads are safe for you to walk on, and private sector organisations also have a duty to ensure that their pathways are well maintained and safe.

Just because an individual has a slip or trip, does not automatically mean that they are entitled to make a claim. For personal injury compensation claims to be successful, the claimant has to prove that there is negligence on the part of the organisation they are claiming against. Trips that are the result of carelessness will not result in compensation being paid.

It is the job of the courts to decide whether or not a trip injury is as a result of lack of due care and attention or whether or not an organisation is responsible in failing its obligation to health and safety regulation.

Other factors, such as adequate lighting and signage will be taken into account. If there is a sign to warn of an uneven or wet surface, then the organisation has covered themselves adequately. For example, if one were to slip on a wet floor, where a wet floor sign is clearly displayed, then it could be argued that the injured party is at fault for not reading the sign and not paying enough care and attention. If a sign had not been displayed then an injured party would have a genuine reason for complaint and could be successful in a trip injury compensation claim.

Although the affects of a trip can be trivialised, for many people they can lead to a great deal of long term distress and disruption. Trip injury can result in pain and discomfort, in the most extreme cases, it can even lead to disability and a loss of earnings.

Aegis Law of Moreton on the Wirral on the Wirral have helped a host of people across Liverpool who have been affected by a range of trip injuries to file successful compensation claims.

Aegis\' founder Gina Simpson gives this advice:

\"Trip injuries are one of the most common forms of accidents in the U.K, and as such, they are also some of the most common personal injury compensation claims. If you have been affected by a trip injury that wasn\'t your fault then contact us today to see if you could be entitled to compensation.\"
